Powered by NVIDIA Jetson TX2 AI modules the new smart camera series features all-in-one design, a small footprint and a pre-installed vision software set to reduce the complexity of AI machine vision development and integration. The NEON-2000-JT2 series is optimized for various AI machine vision applications including product classification and defect inspection.

Deep Network Designer app in MATLAB 2020a

 

MATLAB 2020a release from MathWorks allows users to train neural networks in the updated Deep Network Designer app, offers more network options to choose from in order to generate deep learning code and also gives them opportunity to manage multiple deep learning experiments in a new Experiment Manager app. A new Deep Learning Toolbox manages many deep learning experiments, generates MATLAB code for training and interactively trains a neural network for image classification.

The new version gives new capabilities specifically for wireless and automotive engineers, including driving scenarios using imported road data, and support for 5G and WiFi-6 technologies.

Ximea released the MU181 – world’s smallest industrial grade camera with 18 Mpix. This Mini camera has Ultra small housing (15 x 15 x 13 mm), supports GenTL / GenICam standards, as well as C family languages and python. It is also able to reach over 20 Fps with USB3.

Camera Carrier Board from D3 Engineering

 

D3 Engineering released DesignCore Carrier Board for the NVIDIA Jetson NX. Module provides 12 camera or sensor inputs to enable complex AI edge systems. Sensor data is sent via a serial link and is deserialized into MIPI CSI-2 data for consumption, enabling the sensors to be placed up to 15 m away from the processing unit. It involves 384-core NVIDIA Volta GPU with 48 tensor cores, 6-core NVIDIA Carmel ARM v 2.8 64-bit CPU, 8 GB 128-bit LPDDR4x, and 16 GB eMMC 5.1.
